It was discovered that postgresql-ocaml, OCaml bindings to PostgreSQL’s libpq, was missing a function to call PQescapeStringConn(). This is needed, because PQescapeStringConn() honours the charset of the connection and prevents insufficient escaping, when certain multibyte character encodings are used.
