A thanks and a reminder to Linux.com users:
For the most part, we seem to have gotten a handle on the blog entry spam in the Community Blogs. The self-policing system, along with the help of our content moderator volunteers, appears to have minimized the problem. So, again, thanks to all for the assist!
The reminder is simple: if you get direct message spam in your community Inbox, please click the Spam link right away, so that user is blocked from sending out more. We’re still working on a way to block this stuff, because we do not have direct access to any DMs, so it’s hard to tell who’s sending what. Until then, reporting DM spam is the best option.
