Many observers have expected to hear of Microsoft initiating a suit against Linux, particularly as Microsoft officials have said that the OS violates as many as 235 of its patents, but so far Microsoft has taken no direct legal action. Even so, some are suggesting that Microsoft might have a hand in the suit against Red Hat and Novell.
