Singapore: Help is on the way for businesses facing a dearth of computing resources to do their development work.
Intel, IBM, and the National University of Singapore (NUS) have launched a grid computing centre to bring together organisations from across the Asia-Pacific to share their computing resources and carry out prototype and proof-of-concept studies.
The facility will also pilot project implementations, enable independent software vendors (ISVs), and showcase commercially beneficial solutions, said Tan Ching Yee, CEO of the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA).
