Louise Sugar writes “David Sugar will be speaking about GNU Bayonne and the need for software freedom in telecommunications at Finlandia Hall on Thursday, Febuary 26th, starting at 10:00, at this year’s GNU/Linux summit, being held in Helsinki, Finland, and also on GNU Alexandria and the need for enabling accessibility for the blind to e-government services, on Febuary 27th, starting at 14:30. Both these talks will be provided in English.

“GNU Bayonne and GNU Alexandria are typical examples of how members of the free software community can come together to develop new and original services through the practice of software freedom. This same freedom then empowers the maximum number of companies to participate in commercialization of these same services. Software freedom represents the most effective means to promote scientific advancement and innovation in the commercial software marketplace.”
