Wow, the 20th Anniverary of Linux T-shirt Design Contest is going to be a tight competition this year! I took a look this week at recent submissions and am excited!
The designs represent the diverseness and creativity in our community. Members are really bringing their best work forward this year to mark the 20th Anniversary of Linux. This is great to see, since the best design will be the official LinuxCon attendee T-shirt and the official 20th anniversary of Linux T-shirt available in the Linux.com Store.
If you haven’t sent in your design yet, there is still time. The deadline for submissions is this Monday, May 30, 2011. And, there is plenty of room for more ideas. One hint for all the designers out there: Remember the theme is the 20th Anniversary of Linux. By incorporating this into your design, you will increase your chances of being among the Top 5 finalists.
We should be alerting the finalists next week and open community voting shortly thereafter. Last year’s winner, Said Hassan, drove votes for his design by promoting it online and in his home country. Things can get interesting during voting time!
Just visit the 20th Anniversary of Linux T-shirt Design Contest website now to submit your design by Monday.
