I’d argue that the company is applying a Band-Aid to a gaping head wound, but at least Electronic Arts’ decision to apply more liberal protections to its hit game Spore is a step in the right direction. As reported in The Wall Street Journal, EA plans to expand the number of machines allowed under its DRM scheme:
