EUPL recommended in the Netherlands for public administration

OSOR reports that the Dutch government’s resource centre on open source and open standards recommends that public administrations that publish open source applications use the EUPL, the European Union Public Licence: “According to a blog post on the Osor EUPL site by one of the authors of the booklet, Mathieu Paapst, legal council at the NOIV, the EU’s open source licence has several advantages for Dutch public bodies. ‘It has disclaimers regarding warranty and liability and also makes Dutch law applicable and allows disputes to be settled by a Dutch court of Law.'”
