At the Facebook booth in the OSCON expo hall, I discussed open-source software with one of the company’s recruiters. It seems like Facebook views the open source software community as a fertile ground for finding new developer talent. He explained that Facebook makes extensive use of open source software in its infrastructure, particularly the PHP programming language.
