FAIRMONT — Imagine the computing power you could generate if you harnessed thousands of desktop computers into one supercomputer.
That’s the concept behind the Global Grid Exchange, a grid computer built and operated by the West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation in Fairmont. It’s one of the hottest areas of computer technology these days, said program manager Amy Beaudry.
