A new cloud synchronization feature is now available for testing in the latest Chrome developer build. It uses Google’s Web infrastructure to provide a service that allows users to keep their bookmarks synchronized between multiple computers.
Google’s plans for bringing cloud sync to Chrome were revealed earlier this month in a message posted to the Chromium developer group by Google engineer Tim Steele. The company said that the feature would likely be made accessible to testers by the end of the month. As promised, it is now available in a test build that has been deployed to users through the Chrome developer channel. Steele posted an announcement about the new feature at the official Chromium blog on Monday.
