We recently sent Tux on a mission: Scope out this year’s LinuxCon and CloudOpen North America host city of Chicago (he did such a good job last year that we sent him out again). The result is the video we’re launching today that details his tour of the city.

As the biggest city to ever host LinuxCon and CloudOpen, Chicago boasts great pizza, improv comedy and some amazing landmarks. Can you name two from the following video, featuring Tux in his tour of Chicago? Email them toThis e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The drawing will take place a week from today, Wednesday, May 21, and we’ll choose two winners.

With keynote speakers that represent a whole new world for Linux, open source software and collaborative development, more people than ever can benefit from the event. From Jonathan Kuniholm, president of the Open Prosthetics Project, to Jay Rogers, CEO and co-founder of Local Motors, the range of this year’s speakers represent the growing diversity in the companies, individuals and industries using Linux (see the complete keynote lineup in the recent news release). Co-located events will also give attendees an opportunity to maximize their time at LinuxCon and CloudOpen. Co-lcoated events for 2014 include (but aren’t limited to) the Linux Kernel Summit, Xen Project Developer Summit, #MesosCon and Linux Security Summit.

Here’s another way to win free tickets starting this week and throughout the summer. Be sure to share this blog and video with your friends and colleagues on your social channels with the #linuxcon and #cloudopen hashtags. Starting this Friday and running through the final Friday prior to LinuxCon and CloudOpen, we’ll choose a Linux Influencer of the Week and an Open Cloud Influencer of the Week every week. That’s two winners every week. So start building your cred and you might be win VIP status to attend this year’s event!
