Open-source venture funding rises 14 percent in Q2

Venture funding for open-source companies rose 14 percent in Q2 2008 over Q2 2007, according to The 451 Group, to $115 million. Funding for the first half of the year is up 62 percent over 1H 2007. That’s the good news.
