Jon Orwant, President of Readable Publications, launched The Perl Journal in 1996. More recently, the
quarterly publication had been part of EarthWeb Inc. Earlier this year, EarthWeb divested itself of all editorial
products, and in April 2001 control of TPJ reverted to Readable Publications.
