The Point of So Many Distros

One frequent suggestion from people just starting out with Linux is that the community should abandon the “bad” or too “geeky” distros in favor of the “good” distros. The problem with this is that the same problems do not bother everyone and one person’s bad can easily be someone else’s “good.” Although this can look like a problem, it is really a benefit to Linux.
