Bill Kendrick writes “California’s Air Resources Board and Franchise Tax Board have in the past few years taken an interest in Open Source Software (for example, see ARB’s Open Source Software Initiatives page).
At the December 7th meeting of the Linux Users’ Group of Davis (near Sacramento, California), Bill Fell and Harry Ng from the Air Resources Board and Allen Lung from the Franchise Tax Board, will be presenting a non-technical discussion of the use of Open Source in their organizations. This event is free and open to the public at takes place at the Kemper Hall building at UC Davis from 6:30pm to 9pm.”
