Even as it presses forward with its OpenStack focus, Red Hat is still a big player in the middleware game. The company has announced OpenShift Enterprise 2.2 and advanced its xPaaS with a new private integration Platform-as-a-Service (iPaaS) offering to provide cloud-based services for application integration and messaging.
“Based on their traditional on-premise counterparts, the new services — JBoss Fuse for xPaaS and JBoss A-MQ for xPaaS — offer unified, enterprise-grade integration to, from, and within the cloud,” writes the company. The new tools are more evidence that Red Hat is concentrating on enterprises and the end-to-end needs they have with their emerging cloud deployments.
