Several days ago, I read the comments about the upcoming Gnome 2.6 release on a popular German Linux news site. I was really annoyed by all the KDE users who badmouthed Gnome and were convinced that their desktop of choice is just superior. At that time, I came to the conclusion that it makes no sense to add just another flame entry, but to write a short article why I prefer Gnome over KDE. To be explicit: this text does not claim to be objective in any way – I am a Gnome user after all. But, anyway, it might be insightful to the KDE user and developer too.
