In light of developments over the last few years at Canonical, it seemed reasonable that Ubuntu’s popularity was waning. In fact, it seems fact given some recent numbers. However, according to a new poll at www.tuxmachines.org, visitors still think Ubuntu Rocks!
There aren’t many who will actually try to say that Ubuntu isn’t losing fans. Mint got almost double the popular vote in a recent distro poll and it’s been nearly three years since Ubuntu was on top at Distrowatch.com. In the the last few years, Ubuntu has fallen into second, third, and even fourth place in the last seven days. It’s dive into the proprietary pool is effecting its popularity. But apparently not with everyone. Because in a recent poll at your humble correspondent’s personal Website 41% of respondents said “Ubuntu Rocks!”
