Sony Corp. will use processors from Advanced Micro Devices Inc. and Transmeta Corp. in certain models of its popular Vaio notebook PCs due out by year’s end, the EE Times reported. Sony expects to sell two million Vaio notebooks this fiscal year, double last year’s unit sales, said a company spokesman.

This is the first known case of chimps preparing food purely to please their palettes. “They’ve started this behaviour in this case because they’re captive and have more time and are bored,” said chimp expert Dr. Jane Goodall.
