GIMP Resources
Every designer and webmaster has heard of GIMP, the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.
Although the development team has no ambitions creating a fully featured Photoshop alternative, GIMP is quite similar to the Adobe product and the top choice of webmasters when it comes to Web design on Linux. You can do everything with GIMP, you do not need Photoshop.
After I took some time to actually learn GIMP a year ago, I decided to add some learning time this year again to really be able to master the GIMP. So I looked up some resources for further reading…
Unfortunately good GIMP resources are rare on the Net. Many links are dead ends.
With this series of posts I want to point you to the good/ working resources for learning GIMP. (Re)fresh your knowledge of GIMP and share your own resources in the comments. Thank you.
