Gourmet recipe manager….

Well… this is by far the most useful application for me.  It allows me to put all my recipes in one place.  It is very easy.  It has 3 different ways of doing this.

The first is by just adding the link to the website…. then this will lead to the site where recipes are.  But, you still have to search for the specific recipe.  Second you can put the link to the specific page.  Third… you write the recipe yourself.

For those who don’t want to bother, the first 2 are fine… that is if all you want to do is follow the recipe as it is written.  If you need to make any adjustments as to amounts or to ingredients, then the third is the best.  There you can write the exact amounts and ingredients as you use them. It also allows you to add links to sites and even upload photos. You can add other sources as well, ie. newspapers, magazines… or recipes passed down from generations, or friends.  It has space for ingredients, amount, instructions, servings, type (main , side dish, etc.) and notes.

Having this helps. It saves time… no searching for recipes online or elsewhere. It saves energy since you don’t spend too much time online and paper.  This all equals to money.

I think this is something worthwhile for Linux Mums and any other Linux users , who when not on their computers are cooking for their families.

(As you can see, I changed my profile photo…. promoting both Linux and my country… which needs all the help it can get.)
