Just fooling around…

Lately, I have just been experimenting and making the most of the different applications. I discovered some really good uses for some.

Firstly,  Cheese Webcam Booth…. other than letting you know that your webcam is working, you can use it to take a photo of yourself.  Comes in handy when nobody’s around and you want one to add to your profile on social networks, blogs, etc.   It has some nice special effects as well, so you can have some fun.

Second,  the panel….  did you know that you can change the panel by just clicking on it and adding  from a list?  You can place application symbols that you use often, like “shut down”. So you don’t have to search the system menu every time.  Also, monitors for CPU,  date and time and anything that you’d like to know at a glance.  This saves time.

Third,  I really like the calculator application.   It is easy to use and read. Can be used to help keep track of expenses for household budget.
I know that you might know this already.  But just in case, there are alot of things that we don’t really appreciate in Linux.
I believe that we should make the most of what is available.
