Everywhere there is a news that Canonical have released the much anticipated Ubuntu 10.04, the Lucid Lynx. But here I want to know whether it is right to get all credit by Ubuntu team and forget the other open source developers who are giving their best to make Linux a best OS on this planet.
Its site has the following description:
“Ubuntu is an operating system built by a worldwide team of expert developers. It contains all the applications you need: a web browser, office suite, media apps, instant messaging and much more.
Ubuntu is an open-source alternative to Windows and Office.”

May be you haven’t noticed that Canonical is not even using “Linux” word on their homepage, Why? I don’t know. Is it a conspiracy to hide the fact that Ubuntu is basically Linux and the ‘Linux’ name should not be promoted anymore?
Is ‘Linux’ doesn’t worth to be mentioned as on their website?
So as a description taken from their ubuntu is no more Linux.
